Children's Book Award
The Florida Reading Association invites students in
Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 2 to participate in the Children's Book Award
program. This program encourages exposure to recent quality literature and
involves children in giving recognition to their favorite book on the list.
Book Selection
Each year a committee selects eight titles from the
nominated books. The books selected must have been copyrighted within the last
five years and be currently in print. Care has been taken to choose both fiction
and nonfiction. Nominations for books to be considered for the next school year
are due by December 15.
