Florida Reading Association's Children’s Book Award
Timeline

 

August Website updated with this year’s information. Newly elected board members take office.
September Packets prepared and handed out at FRA conference or mailed to registered schools soon after the conference. Children’s Book Award Co-chairs will present activities and ideas to use with the selected books at the FRA Fall Conference.
October Book extensions will be posted on the FRA website.
December All schools should be registered by the 15th if planning to participate in the book award election.
January 1st Web site allows schools to enter their votes online. Schools may send tally sheets via web, email, fax, or US mail.
April 15 Voting closes for the Book Award.
May 1st Winners will be announced on the web site.

Important note:

It is important that you register each year for this award. Please be sure to submit a qualifying person at your school who is a current member of the Florida Reading Association when registering and voting.

The co-chairs are asked to serve three-year terms on the board of directors for the Florida Reading Association. If you are one of the north schools, your co-chair is Shannon Ayrish. If you are one of the south schools, your co-chair is Jodi Marshall.
