Adult and Family Literacy Council

Join us and begin a journey into e-mail and group chat sessions. The Adult & Family LIteracy Council has decided to move into the technological age by communicating with its members via e-mail. For years, teachers and volunteers in adult literacy and family literacy have been restricted in their communication with peers for several reasons.

	Often, teachers are employed part-time and are not available when other teachrs are sharing information.
	Volunteers often tutor one-to-one and do not have access to other teachers or tutors.
	Time is valuable and teachers and tutors are sometimes "on the run" and do not have time to ask or answer questions, let alone have reflective discussions.

By communicating via e-mail, members will increase their opportunities to communicate with each other. If you have a question, send a message. If you want to share information regarding a program or project, send a message. If you want to share information regarding a program or project, send a message. If you want to know other members who are involved in similar interests, send a message.

The quarterly newsletter will be send via e-mail to members who provide us with an address. Other members will receive their issues through the regular mail. So, join us and be prepared for a wonderful journey into adult and family literacy.
